Molly Carney founded her firm in 2022, building on a decade of diverse legal experience in the private and public sectors.
Molly began her legal career in Chicago, Illinois at the firms Chapman and Cutler LLP and Perkins Coie LLP, where she focused on trusts and estates. Upon moving to St. Louis, Missouri, in 2016, she clerked for Chief Judge Rodney Sippel of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Molly then worked as in-house counsel at Wells Fargo, advising the retail brokerage business on a variety of trusts and estates issues. Molly also served for two years as a Staff Attorney for the ACLU of Missouri, where she litigated dozens of civil rights cases in federal and state courts.
Molly earned her Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, cum laude. She was awarded several honors, including the Dean’s Book Award and CALI awards. As an undergraduate at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, Molly studied Social Policy and International Studies and worked as a legal assistant at Winter & Melbinger, LLP.
Molly is a member in good standing of the Illinois and Missouri bars. She is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Molly’s ongoing community engagement efforts include pro bono service and nonprofit board membership.
